The DB 50 is the first of the McDermott vessels to arrive at the Port of Gulfport. In May 2014, Commissioners for the Mississippi State Port Authority finalized a lease agreement with McDermott International, Inc. to locate and operate a spool base pipe fabrication facility supporting the oil services industry at the Port of Gulfport. Construction on McDermott's facilities are expected to begin later this year.
